Pixi Smurfs figurines, painted metal after Peyo

Peyo is one of the rare universes of Franco-Belgian comics where small pieces of painted metal have always found a buyer. Smurfs have been collected since the 1960s in mass-market PVC, and the arrival of Pixi metal has created a parallel premium segment aimed at those looking for something other than supermarket goodies.

The Pixi collection covers two lines. Origin isolates a figurine on its base in the exact line of Peyo, with the profession or the gag as the only criterion of choice: the cook, the farmer, the dreamer, Smurfette on a vespa. Mini Village shows several characters on the same stage with decor: the Christmas Market, its stalls, its garlands. The print run tells the story of the collection: 1000 copies for the first wave of 2012, 400 to 450 for the fourth wave of 2022, 250 for the most recent pieces.

The print runs have evolved with the collection: 1000 copies for the first Origin wave of 2012, 400 to 450 for the fourth wave of 2022. Origin figurines from the first waves are still available from official resellers. The most recent Mini Village scenes, produced in 250 copies, are rarer to find.
