Collectoys, resin figurines Asterix, Blake and Mortimer and other heroes

Collectoys is the high-end collection line from Plastoy, a French manufacturer well established in the market for mass-market figurines since the 1990s. The Collectoys range is distinguished from current Plastoy production by its finish, its generous formats and its original editorial angle: featuring the heroes with their own comic strips.

Asterix leaning over a stack of albums, Obelix at the barrel, Blake and Mortimer leaning on their collection, Lucky Luke at the harmonica, Gaston under his books, the Marsupilami and the piranha, Chesterfield in uniform: the object speaks to readers as much as to collectors.

The difference with Pixi and Tintinimaginatio is positioning, not quality. Collectoys does not number its copies and does not produce limited editions in the strict sense. In return, the formats are generous, from 19 to 26 centimeters, the prices remain reasonable, and availability is more stable. This is the ideal segment to start a collection or to offer to someone who loves comics without yet being immersed in the logic of printing.
