Collectoys Obélix stack of albums: the bearer of menhirs and comics
Obelix sits on a pile of his own albums, arms crossed or resting on his knees, in the satisfied posture of someone who appreciates what he sees. The albums are stacked in relief beneath him, the covers reproduced with enough fidelity for readers to recognize the titles: the spine, the colors, the title. The painted resin restores the stripes of Obelix's costume, the red of his hair, the Gallic sandals.
The composition plays on the contrast in size: Obélix is massive, the albums beneath him are small, and yet there are enough to hold his weight. This is the visual gag of the piece, deliberately absurd.
