The Sirius, ship of the treasure expedition
The Sirius is the trawler chartered by Captain Haddock to find the wreck of the Unicorn. Hergé drew it from real fishing vessels, with the high hull, the derrick and the short funnel that make this small ship recognisable from its first panel.
The piece reproduces that silhouette in hand-painted resin: red hull below the waterline, black band, cream superstructure, masts and rigging fitted thread by thread. The ship rests on a wooden cradle, sitting on the base of the piece.
