Abdallah and Zorrino: two children of albums on the same base

The composition brings together Abdallah, the son of Emir Ben Kalish Ezab, and Zorrino, the young Peruvian from The Broken Ear, in a pose which reflects Hergé's relationship with the children's characters in the series: neither innocent nor accessories, but active partners in the adventure. Two universes, two albums, two silhouettes that the hand-painted resin distinguishes by their respective costumes.

The composition of two characters requires a work of visual balance that the figurines alone do not have: the hierarchy of sizes, the direction of gazes, the relationship that the bodies maintain on the base. Tintinimaginatio treated the two children side by side, at equal height, in a posture of complicity.

Two characters from separate albums

Abdallah belongs to Coke in Stock, Zorrino to Broken Ear. Bringing them together on the same base is an editorial choice which requires knowledge of both albums: it is not a showcase composition for an occasional reader.
