Haddock from the Imaginary Museum: the sailor sweater and the kepi

Tintinimaginatio represented Haddock in his merchant captain's outfit, the one that Hergé set for him from Red Rackham's Treasure: navy blue turtleneck sweater, officer's kepi, hands in pockets or characteristic gesture. The hand-painted resin restores the texture of the sweater, the braids of the kepi, the expression of the character with this slight tension in the jaw that Hergé gave him.

At this scale, around 18 centimeters, the modeling of the face is precise: the furrowed eyebrows, the mustache, the complexion. Hand painting on resin allows you to work on each tone separately, from the blue of the sweater to the beige of the skin to the black of the kepi, without the colors blending together.

The Imaginary Museum is the Tintinimaginatio line of secondary characters, those who constitute the narrative texture of the albums beyond the reporter. Haddock is the central figure: without him, the series from 1941 no longer exists in its definitive form.
