Hergé's rocket in official resin, 30 cm
Hergé designed this rocket in 1950 based on the plans of the German V2: tapered silhouette, three stabilizing fins, red and white checkerboard over the entire height. At 30 centimeters, the format fits the width of a library shelf without overflowing. The checkerboard is painted by hand in the Tintinimaginatio workshops, panel by panel, with the exact proportions of the original drawing.
The resin captures the light differently depending on the angle: the red boxes remain matte, the white is slightly satiny. The three fins are assembled separately on the body of the rocket, which makes it possible to take care of the joining edge that the molding of a single piece would not reach. The copy number is written on the base.
What the 30 cm says about a collection
This is the format that collectors choose for their desk or an already loaded library: large enough to be readable from two meters away, compact enough not to overwhelm the rest. The red and white checkerboard works even from a distance, because Hergé had designed it precisely for that, a silhouette recognizable at the first panel.
Each copy is numbered, delivered in its original box with its Tintinimaginatio certificate, official and unique source for reproductions of Hergé's work.
