The red armchair is one of the recurring objects in Tintin's apartments in the albums. Hergé designed it with the precision of 1950s furniture: rounded armrests, tapered legs, satin red fabric. The hand-painted resin restores this red in its exact saturation, the contrast with the reporter's sky blue sweater, Snowy in his usual posture at his feet.

The composition is one of the most elaborate in the resin line: the volume armchair requires the armrests, backrest, feet and cushion to be modeled separately. The whole forms a coherent visual block where the two characters fit naturally.
